Letter from the Directors

Come, be a hero with us this summer! We have a summer packed with exciting programs for every age. We will be swimming, hiking, singing and making lasting friendships.

cover of Breakthrough curriculum; depicts kids running, breaking out of dark woods into a bright fieldWanakee will be using New Earth’s multidenominational curriculum, Be A Hero – Living Like Jesus for summer 2010.

To “Be a Hero” for God means recognizing a need, realizing that something can be done to address that need, and taking the risk to act. Each day campers will hear a story of a biblical and a contemporary hero who followed God in a brave and amazing way.

At Wanakee every camper is accepted by our caring well trained staff. Our focus is on building a group where each person is treated as an individual and an important part of that group. Our campers come back year after year and many tell us they couldn’t imagine a summer without Wanakee.

We look forward to having you at camp this summer for a week, half week or even a day. Come spend some time at this Beautiful, Spiritual Place in the Hills.

Grace and Peace,

Jean and Michael Moore
