Meet the Co-Directors: Jean and Michael Moore

Michael Moore Jean Moore Originally from Merrimack, NH (Jean) and Norwell, MA (Michael), the Moores began as co-directors of Wanakee in November of 2005.

Jean holds degrees from the University of New Hampshire and has worked most recently as an elementary educator. Michael is a graduate of Plymouth State University and has taught English on the elementary and secondary levels.

They have three children. When they are not busy around camp or playing Lego's with the children, Jean enjoys knitting and scrapbooking and Michael enjoys hiking and writing.

Jean and Mike are no strangers to the ministries at Wanakee. "Combined we have over thirty years of Wanakee involvement," they write. "Both of us have been campers and summer staff and have served as volunteers throughout the years." Jean is a former chairperson of the Wanakee Board, and Michael is a former member of the Finance Committee for Wanakee. "We are blessed to be a part of camp and to be able to share in the development of campers' faith."
