I am so excited to share this summer’s diverse summer camp programs with you! Each week, Wanakee provides incredible opportunities for all ages and interests – no matter which camp (or three) you pick, I promise it will be safe, fun, and memorable.

I appreciate the trust you put in the summer staff when you send your child to camp; nothing matters more to me than safety. Last summer, we successfully completed our American Camp Association re-accreditation. What does that mean? That we are meeting or exceeding the highest standards in the camping world. Though not required, the accreditation process informs everything we do.

Our hiring process is rigorous and competitive, and all staff are carefully vetted. Before the summer, they go through almost two weeks of training on first aid, emergency procedures, conflict resolution, mentoring, and much more.

Campers will make new friends, try their hand at carpet ball and 9-Square, experience a community of radical welcome, explore their relationship with God, look at the stars from Whale Rock, and take home the best memories. I can speak from experience – this will be my 20th season involved with Wanakee, and my summers as a camper include many of my favorite childhood memories. The friendships I formed at camp have supported and shaped me since 1999.

Lastly, our high quality programming is a great value! We are thankful to our dedicated team of volunteers – teachers, accountants, nurses, designers, and more – who give their time to this place because they know that Wanakee changes lives. Volunteers help us provide an outstanding experience for your camper for 40% less cost than other Christian camps in New Hampshire.
