Leader In Training Experience (L.I.T.E.)

senior highs lead singing at Lookout Point Come to Wanakee to learn the skills, demands and joys of working at camp.

This is a special two-part event for a small, select group of 16-18 year-olds.

You will get the chance to develop talents for working with children and learn some of the skills needed to be an effective counselor or support staff member. There will be plenty of opportunity to play, pray, sing, swim, do the ropes course and enjoy all your favorite Wanakee activities.

After a week learning the skills of working at camp, you will be able to choose a half-week time later in the summer when you will come back to put all you have learned into practice. Be a counselor “on the hill,” work on maintenance projects, cook in the kitchen and experience Wanakee from the “other side!”
