Retreat Activities and Programs
Winter Fun
- Sled down a hill.
- Snowshoe or back-country ski through the woods.
- Ice fish.
- Relax around the fire.
- Go downhill skiing. There are several ski areas within a half hour drive
from the camp.
Mission Projects
- Be in service for a couple hours, a day, or a Mission Team week.
- Grow your group by working together to help Wanakee and other missions.
High
Ropes Course and 32' Climbing Wall
- Challenge yourself.
- Grow your faith in God, your friends and yourself.
- Facilitator instructs safety and encourages teamwork.
Hiking
- Hike our 300 foot "hill."
- See the view from Lookout.
- Discover the Historic Cemetery, Cellar Hole and Lemon Squeeze.
- Stroll flat trails by the lake at sunset.
- Climb a mountain. There are excellent hiking trails within a few miles
of camp. Easy mountains are Red Hill, Belknap Mountain, and Mount Major.
Outdoor Chapel and Inspiration Point
- Worship at our woods-shaded chapel.
- Hold devotions at Inspiration Point with the surrounding hills reflecting
in the lake.
Swimming
- Enjoy our clean lake.
- Pray on a dock.
Canoeing and Rowing
- Paddle to the island.
- Throw in a fishing line.
Heifer
Project Farm Tour
The neighboring farm is a Heifer farm and tours and brief
talks are available. Arrangements must be made in advance.
Games and Incentives
- Accomplish challenges through teamwork and communication.
- Facilitator leads Games and Low Elements to grow your group into community.
- Serve the volleyball or use the large open field for big-group games.
Equipment including parachutes available.
