Wanakee Welcomes Ryan Culby as New Executive Director

We are proud to announce the appointment of Ryan Culby as our new Executive Director. Bringing over 12 years of leadership experience at both YMCA and United Methodist camps, Ryan holds a Bachelor’s in Recreation and a Master’s in Experiential Education, offering a blend of academic and practical experience.

With a career-long passion for bringing people together in the outdoors, Ryan understands the transformative power of the camp experience. He and his wife met at camp in the late 1990s, and they are now parents to two camp-loving children.

"Camp was a foundational factor in my own faith development,' Ryan shares. 'I am committed to ensuring others have those same life-changing opportunities." 

Ryan is also an active community volunteer and an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hiking, climbing, snowshoeing, and paddling. Please join us in welcoming Ryan to Wanakee!
