Dear Wanakee Community,

During this season of gratitude, I wanted to reach out to say thank you.

Wanakee is more than just a beautiful spiritual place in the hills; it is a vibrant, interconnected community built on shared experiences. Every camper, staff member, volunteer, and community member plays an essential role in making Wanakee a place that feels like home for so many. 

Your commitment, whether through sending your children, volunteering your time, or making a gift, is what keeps the spirit of Wanakee alive and ready for future generations.

As you know, we are currently in a period of transition as we embark on the important search for our next Executive Director. The Board of Directors is committed to finding a leader who will honor Wanakee’s rich history while guiding us into an exciting new chapter.

While change often brings questions, I want to reassure you that we are focused on ensuring a seamless and exceptional experience for all upcoming programs (keep your eyes peeled for a summer 2026 schedule coming soon!), and we are treating this transition as an opportunity for renewal and strengthened commitment to our mission.
